The idea of Sam Allardyce taking over as England manager fills me with dread. Yes, he's done v well @ The Trotters, but they play absolutely dogturd, route-one football with even fewer Englanders than my team regularly stick out.
Personally I think there isn't an English manager up to the job just now. Martin O'Neill is about as close as we could get, but I'm not even sure he's in the market just now with his wife's illness. As an Ulster Catholic he may not even want the job either. I have a suspicion that when the Glazer's finally take Sir Alex out to the barn with a twelve-bore Hiddink will take over at ManUre, but if he doesn't he'd be my shout for our next manager.
What I do find disturbing is that Sven plans to sue the NOTW for breach of confidence. That won't be disruptive at all....
