Wayne Phillips is one of my favourite batsman of the 80s, and was huge talent as this innings suggests - 120 off 197 balls at Bridgetown, 1984.
3rd Test: West Indies v Australia at Bridgetown, Mar 30-Apr 4, 1984 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
But for some stupid reason he was turned from an opening batsman into a wicket-keeper by the selectors/Kim Hughes, and consequently lost form. He was dumped after 27 Tests.
