Darn tooting, I always avoid removing ex-FC players as they are often active lower down and if can get even approximate DOB's, I'd
love a non-FC competition from NZ in the game. We could even knock up a slightly-different-from-reality competition of any Hawke/Hickey Cup teams that we can get good detail on. We have non-FC modes in the game but sides from those levels haven't been added-until now: I started adding the Dutch Topklasse last night. Partly motivated by the strong Kiwi presence there-we have separate slots for Northern and Southern Hemisphere contracts, so it works well.
If you look at the bottom table of this link, the top of the 2nd division batting averages make interesting reading from a NZ perspective too:

Fulton making hay!
As for "this database"-it's the official database for the PC game Cricket Coach 2012. Me and another bloke have rated everyone from NZ, Eng, India (they took me almost 6 mths alone!), Australia, Zimbabwe and all of the Associates. Work is still ongoing on the other Test nations.
The game doesn't get the attention it deserves compared to ICC, but eventually we intend to evolve it into the Football Manager of Cricket Games. Me and the other guy work entirely for free and the sheer geekiness of it. We love cricket and think we have the best commercially released DB ever created. The more people can help us expand it, the better, and eventually it will be a much better engine than ICC (it isn't that far off IMO!). What maybe holds us back is that the programmer is entirely independent and self funded, and can only spare a certain amount of his year on the game. But we keep beavering away perfecting the DB, as the games creator is a top bloke and we know that eventually the game will be every bit as intricate and realistic as the DB.
