Romanians arrive - minus their star winger | Stuff.co.nz
The squad was one player short after star winger Catalin Fercu pulled out of the tournament as the team left Romania – overcome by his fear of flying and the long-haul trip ahead.
Captain Marius Tincu said the squad was not pleased by his withdrawal.
"Everyone is not happy with that because he did not come to speak with us. I don't know what he's thinking. It's very stupid," he said.
"I don't know what to say. He has gone two times to Africa and one time to Argentina. It was no problem."
