Didn't the Germans use it when hosting the 2006 WC?

It is great. Reading this got me checking the original on youtube, which I hadn't seen for ages.

Hate to be a pedant, but The Lightning Seeds is just Ian Broudie with a band name, essentially, isn't it?

    3 lions.

At work yesterday and today me and some maintenance bloke were singing it all day. Finishing the next lines for each other and just having a laugh.

Could never see anyone doing that with any other England song.

But yeah itís Three Lions. The adaptability of footballs coming home is great too. Great times singing Tranmeres going up to that tune in May.

Actually about to listen to all the songs mentioned in this thread in a little playlist Iíve made for my half hour drive just now
You can play them when England loses to to Sweden.

I have spent most of the world cup playing Nessun Dorma, Aztec Gold and Tutti Al Mondo.

Very sad but reliving my childhood.

I must admit I loved Del Amitri - Don't Come Home Too Soon. They were out before it charted weren't they?

Three Lions is iconic. I'm not ashamed to say I absolutely love it.

Very harsh on World in Motion imo. New Order are great, and so is the song. Not really one for the terraces though, I agree.

Also, what do we make of Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Not exactly a football song, but when it's played over a montage of football stuff it's hard not to enjoy imo.

I guess by 'actual band' I mean 'had other songs and were good'
