    Morocco would have doubled their points to 2 and still gone home. Portugal would’ve won the group ahead of Spain. So the only ones screwed were Portugal

    Yes, allowing more non-European teams that are worse than the non-European teams that actually qualified is obviously the best way to rectify this dire situation.
