Problem for me is the Rohit/Dhawan combo doesn't rotate the strike well enough. Both plod along to about 12 off 12 then get out. Seems like whatever format they play they play in ODI mode.
    Kirkut and Arjun like this.

Yuvraj Singh out of WT20 with ankle injury | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo

That does it. Either Pandey or Rahane to come in his stead. Probably Pandey since Dhoni thinks Rahane is suited in the top 3. Or maybe he could drop Rohit/Dhawan down to number 4.

Hope its Pandey. He's a better fit for number 4/5.

I do think playing Rahane is a good call. He can make the runs. Isn't as restricted a player as Dravid, say for T20. He isn't a hitter like Pandey or Negi but will get runs on the board at least.

He has a great record in his home-ground, where the semi will be played.

For Rahane to be relevant, the curator will have to prepare a Test match-style pitch, with plenty in it for the bowlers. I can't imagine him being very useful on a belter, at a time when only Kohli and maybe Dhoni can actually score quickly.

Why not given that he can score quickly

You didn't watch him in last year's IPL and more importantly in the 5th ODI against SA in Mumbai when we were casing 450+

Last year's IPL, strike rate of 135. Ever since, he's struggled in all of the T20Is he has played- six games with a poor strike rate of 105.

Should six hitting Yusuf have been in the XI Arjun?

Sure, those 6 games are the only reason why he's not an automatic selection over Dhawan or Yuvraj in this tournament.

I think its gonna be Negi... Windies have a buttload of right handers in their side, right?
We miss you, Fardin. :(. RIP.
