Khawaja being great is still much odder than Smith being amazing ever will be.
This time 5 years ago I reckon a lot of the causal cricket followers would've rated Khawaja ahead of Hughes and Smith tbf.

Still would've laughed in your face if you said 12 months ago Khawaja would be our most important bat in all formats after Smith and Warner.
