I pity anyone who doesn't like football. But Jeez, it's just so, so cruel. Horrible for anyone who goes out on penalties.

Usually hate penalties, but that shootout was pretty enjoyable. Better team went through in the end I think, great game though, especially the first half.

Still don't know that I drew a breath through the whole shoot out. Can't imagine what it must be like for the players.

Did rate Neymar's penalty, if only for a Socrates-like shuffle.

And also, Alan Shearer with "I wouldn't wish it on anybody" is a bit OTT. They aren't being shipped to Auschwitz, Al.

I was definitely rooting for Brazil after ET. Don't really like teams just sitting and waiting for the shootout.
