The Dimas ceremony in Athens when he got that ovation still makes me emotional.

Russian weightlifting champion Popavalium Andropov suffered the fate all weightlifters dread... when his guts came flying out of his arsehole

was listening to that the other day to get into the Olympic spirit.

"But fortunately it wasn't all bad luck for Andropov, who came back later in the day and took out a Gold Medal in the Lightweight division".

Kazak bloke is crazy. None of the usual farting around you see from weight-lifters, walks onto the platform and lifts pretty much straight away - with such ease as well.

Cevno's sole contribution to the Olympics forum even looks like a little gold medal....

The weightlifting floor is nothing short of a disgrace this year. Lacks the bounce that is required to thrust the sport into spectator friendly status. Need to see the bar jumping up to the chest area when the competitor throws it down.
