A place for me to talk to myself.

Three day event, showjumping and dressage all in here.

NZ are going to win. Tempted to put a sneaky bet on Caroline Powell and Lenamore to take out the individual gold.

Eric Lamaze to get back to back golds in the specialist showjumping.

Will try and catch the dressage phase tonight. CBF getting up for it this morning. Really looking forward to the Cross Country tomorrow night. Since this years games are in a real Equestrian nation hopefully we will get a proper course on par with the World Champs tracks, not some watered down crap. Half of the NZ domestic three star riders could have made it around Athens.

Didn't see much yesterday, kids didn't like watching "Dancing horses" will watch the cross country tomorrow.

Mad to see Mary King doing so well still, she was doing Olympics when I was a kid.

I don't normally enjoy the dressage, but the fact that there's a 71-year-old in the Japan team has changed that this year. His first Olympics were in '64. That's an incredible effort, sir.

I bet he could do some awesome yoga. Usually your core isn't up to it thirty years prior to his age, not to mention knees and tendons. WAG.

Very original Morgie. 10/10.

I'd say it's more of a narcissism thing. I look damn good in jodphurs, boots and a sharp pair of spurs.:naughty:

see, i can make you feel more uncomfortable than you will ever make me

Sucks to be the US rider. Hope he has a keen horse. Buggers always know when they're first out of the box. They can tend to hesitate if they're not boss so he'll need to be confident, and some hate being first.

here we go. over the first perfectly. gj.

Only the French would make such a hash of that.

Main challenge of this course is the time. Not many will go under time but the jumps themselves are basic for this level, and the course is built to encourage pace.

This frenchman rides some interesting lines for angle jumping. He's going to run into uneccessary trouble if he keeps this up.

Yeah, thought it might be a bit tougher as well. Decent course and probably better than the last couple of Olympics but not brilliant.

If Mesples rode the front half like the back half he would be in an okay position.

Honestly, that first run out...
