Edit. Probably 15-20 short. Could be enough if McCullum actually shows up with the ball.

To be fair, you can't blame the umpires for enforcing the rules as they are which accounted for the majority of those lost runs. should weed stupid rules like this out before a ball is bowled.

Reminds me of Aussie umpiring in the 1980s. Except there would also be a filthy lbw decision.

Yeah, if you are going to have a stupid dead ball rule like that then at the very least the next ball should be a free hit. That'd put a stop to it pretty quick.
