But, as I said, a maximum of seven matches to get through to the final. There is a very good chance that you may see the strongest team taking the flight back home before the semis. It's all a bit of hit or miss, this tournament.

I will not judge India under MS Dhoni based on their performances in the World Twenty20, because the tournament's so short. I regard India purely on ability as one of the strongest teams in the tournament.

It's a wonderful team that India has. One of the best teams but that doesn't necessarily make them strong contenders to win it for the reasons I've stated earlier.

Make of those comments what you want.
Just so it's clear these aren't my thoughts, They are the thoughts of Manjrekar in the cricinfo article to which i posted

Anyway find it strange that people keep mentioning Pollard as a reason to fear West Indies.

He has been fairly useless in the IPL and that's against far weaker bowling. His game doesn't seem to work that well against higher class bowling.

West Indies probably have the best T20 batsman and bowler. But they also have some of the worst players in the format. Guys who are just filler. Their batting is massively over-rated. You have Gayle, some mediocrity and sub-mediocrity, Pollard and Sammy who've not come off remotely as often as people think and Bravo who's a good finisher. Gayle aside it's a below average line-up. Gayle's globetrotting T20 career includes lots of instances of him averaging 40+ at 150+ SR whilst his team finishes in the bottom half. The bowling is where West Indies will win games, I think that matches up well against the sides who aren't from the sub-continent, but is not quite as big a threat against India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

India, Pakistan and South Africa would be in the same group of 4, so only two of them can go through.

yes...I also came in to review my predictions.

England should make the last 4 I think with the way they are playing

In the warm-ups and the game against Afghanistan, England have looked the best side. Exactly like the '10 WT20 where they defeated SA in the warm-ups. I expect England, SL, Australia & SA to go through.

Eng WI SA Aus.

I'll go even further:

SA Aus final.

SA win.

Me to look like a dork for doubting SA's team selection.
