Now that India is out the BCCI has already forgotten this "world cup" and is probably dreaming up new "world cup" style tournaments they cram in the next few weeks.

Shame. Could have been a real shot in the arm for English cricket.
Well, frequency of the tournament notwithstanding, England's success in reaching our first global final since 2004 (stunned to find the CT we lost to the Windies was that long ago, seems like yesterday, tempus fugit and all that) has relegated the FA Cup and World Cup build ups off The Guardian's back page (well, front page of sports pull out, technically).

The arm's had a small shot at any rate.

Was amazed about the number of people that I've heard talking about the T20 in school over the last week. Has definitely had an impact.

Not sure that's a bad thing. I reckon a lot of the Aussies success has come from teams being forced to chase a total and play shots at balls they should maybe be leaving.

If Pakistan can put a competitive total up, it'll be interesting to see how they chase. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have had the Aussies in major trouble, that they've done well to recover from, but there's a difference rebuilding when you're setting as opposed to chasing.

Just not very confident of our batting ability on a moist pitch against this bowling.
