Argies currently playing the most eye-candied football in the Cup so far. Have a tendency to **** themselves for a few minutes every time an error gets pounced upon, but they really are looking like contenders right now.

Reckon a team with a bit more tactical nous could expose there defence though, especially down the right hand side.

Really enjoyed the Argentina performance. Games are starting to open up more now, good signs for the rest of the cup.

Any word on the injury to Samuel?

Red card for that? Barely touched him.

Oh, and that Greece player had real life lag. He went down noticeably late. What a dive.

Greece just a horrible, horrible football team.

Just checked who they qualified ahead of: the might of Latvia, Israel, Luxembourg & Moldova. Then beat The Ukraine (who aren't great) 1-0 over two legs.

Yeah I read the start of the original WC thread the other day (must have been bored) and people were complaining about their qualifying group.

I remember being miffed before the 94 WC when we hammered Greece 5-0 yet they were going the WC and we weren't.

Still bitter about not qualifying in 94 tbh

Stupid red card but the guy rolling on the floor was pretty disgraceful. He was on his feet for about 5 seconds after the guy initially kicked out.

Red cards rarely have anything to do with anyone being genuinely hurt though. Was an obvious red just because of the intent. Diving in that case bothers me less than when there's no malice from the offending player at all.

TBF neither of these teams are any good, and if South Korea play anywhere near the level they have in their first two matches they should beat Nigeria and we can be rid of both of them.

Agree with this, although I think there is a grey area somewhere in between
