French look awful, awful team. Completely gone here. Love it when yer Gauls live down to my long-cherished prejudices.

Considering the players they have (and those Domenech hasn't picked) it's a disgrace, tbh.

Hard to feel anything but warm tingly pleasure at this result. Mexico good value for that win, great stuff.

Haha, that was brilliant. France totally outplayed, no ideas, no spark, very poor. Hilarious mind you.

Yeah, absolutely. Especially as Mexico are a very ordinary side so that means I can legitimately call France ****.

Im praying SA can embarass them further.

Fancy South Africa might be shot after yesterday but would be amusing if France failed to score a goal.

The results are not dissimilar to their performances in 2002 really, both now and then saw them pick up 1 point from their first two games, in both this tournament and that they drew 0-0 with Uruguay. Now we just need South Africa to play the role of Senegal and finish the job.

At least this result will make people understand that france in this WC not comparable to 06.. Everyone refering to their slow start to previous WC, forgetting the fact that they used to have makelele, viera, zidane in the team. This team has half the class of the previous one, besides no experience of winning majors together. If anything, their performances more or less mirroring their euro 08 debacle.

This is why I hate Diaby. One great game and a completely liability for the next few. Bye bye and good riddance Domenech.

Oh the delicious irony of the French being virtually eliminated by a team in green

Only took them 90 minutes as opposed to six weeks, too.
