Closer perusal of a few stats suggests that Umar Gul is an absolute must-pick.

Yeah, especially since he always bowls at the death.

Interesting to see that KP is apparently suddenly better than Yuvraj in T20s.

If Yuvraj didn't have perceived weaknesses then he would be ahead.

Gayle
Dilshan
Pietersen
AB de Villiers
Yuvraj
Sangakkara (+)
Parnell
Gul
Steyn
Murali
Mendis

Bench: Vettori, Kallis, Malinga, Bravo

Extremely long tail, but that's a serious amount of bowling firepower. T20 is not a format where you can afford to carry a weak 5th bowler IMO.

Plenty of hitting ability in the top 5, Sangakkara takes the gloves as IMO he's still one of the finest keepers around and he's handy enough with the bat, can float up the order to steady if early wickets are lost, keeping AB and Yuvraj back for later.

Bench has all round strength, Vettori could replace one of Mendis and Murali to lengthen the batting without affecting the bowling unit, Bravo could do a good job in the top 6 if required, and is a wicket taking option with the ball, albeit a slightly expensive one.

Crap team. Sharma is a bad pick, as is Gambhir. Dhoni should also be ahead of Sangakara.

Massive tail but I don't reckon you'd need a short one with that top-order.
