Really good effort by Ireland in the field from the bit that I saw and from following the rest on Cricinfo, but I don't rate Ireland's batting at all against this attack. Sri Lanka to win by 20-30 IMO.

Ire restricts SL to 144 .... If they can bat well against Malinga, Murali and Mendis and get that total then this grp will come alive!

Would be awesome if Ireland can win this, but if anything their batting is the weakest link.
Yeah you're quite right. We bat down to 9 though, so if we get anywhere near the target to begin with there'll be something in the tank to push is over the line.

Powerplay overs are crucial. Can't be behind the rate coming up against M&M&M.

Sri Lanka have clearly done research into the Ireland lineup. Fair play to them for not taking it seriously- Bangladesh blatantly did absolutely none.

Which Australian state side is going to sign up Johnston as an experienced overseas player/swing king

Ireland has not lost any wicket. Can launch an all out attack from say, the 12th over if they maintain this.
