Yeah, but wouldn't NZ be better off player one keeper/batsman, and get in another specialist bat?

I can understand Uppercut's point about McCullum not wanting to keep wicket while captaining the side.

Johnson bowling well here at the close. More of what we're used to.

Guptill is a machine, 4 sixes, 0 fours.

He's played well.

NZ end up on 198 - 4

McGlashan would play as a specialist bat if McCullum was keeping.

Well played New Zealand, never gave us an inch. Peter Connell only bowls one over- that selection looks even more bizarre.

Irish are pretty good in the field. Their effort puts the likes of West Indies and Pakistan to shame.

He's that good a batsman?

I suppose it's like South Africa and the Boucher-deVilliers situation, then....

Same same, but different.

He's a T20 specialist of sorts.
Lots of reverse sweeps and paddles.

EDIT: ****ty way to go, that.
