Haven't read back through the thread, but it turned out that the 4 wides in the final over won us the match pretty much. Excellent disciplined bowling at the end from our seamers. well-deserved victoryl

Brilliant effort from England. The difference is 16 extras by India ; 8 by England (4 lbs). They are peaking at the right time and is my favorite to win the tourney now.

Well done England! :)

Would not have predicted that England would defeat both Pakistan and India in this tournament!

Well played England. Deserved it more than we did.

And that, is how the words complacency, over confidence, general ****ness etc are defined.

Very good game, glad I could see it on TV almost entirely (and being mentioned by name by the guys commentating). The Jadeja thing was key, he should have sacrificed himself if he felt it wasn't his day.

The decision to push Jadeja up pretty much cost India the match. It's ridiculous that you have two not out batsmen with strike rates of 150+ while a part-time batsman wasted 35 balls for 25. And it's 100% Dhoni's fault; he has had a terrible tournament really. But beyond the top order needs to be seriously looked at. If players like Raina can't handle the short ball they have no business playing international cricket.

Yeah, but that final ball was just put there by Sidey, wasn't going to bowl a wide or a no-ball, and rightly so, a wide would of meant a six to tie.

As you say, top seam-bowling, my pick, justt Broad.

Need to find ways to score a competitive total if KP fails, if we want to win this, but our bowling could be good enough. Put Napier in for Shah or Wright would help IMHO.

Any idea what margin of victory England need v the Windies tomorrow in order to go through? England have a marginally worse net run rate.

EDIT - d'oh! Just realised, if we beat the Windies narrowly we would still have a worse net run rate, but would have more points...
