NZ esp. have an awesome top 4/5 for T20s...
You are right on the money..

I'm going for India, even before todays emphatic defeat of Pakistan. Admittedly however, the bowling unit will have to sharpen up a bit, and whether they can last the full length of the tournament after their busy recent months remains to be seen.

Here's an interesting article on why India are so strong: Why my money is on India to lift World Twenty20 again | Twenty20Blog.co.uk - A Twenty20 cricket blog

That article kinda lost it for me with a factual error in the first paragraph: stating that India are "odds on favourites" for the tournament. I think the author has no idea what odds on favourites actually means; and while India are favourites, I have not seen one odds sheet (and don't think I will) that has India odds on.

I've just colated the responses from the prediction survey. There were 13 respondents although not every question was answered on all. Where someone has sat on the fence and offered up multiple choices, I've only included the first answer given.

The favourites for the categories according to results are [only listed results with multiple votes] (# of votes)

Winner: India (4) New Zealand (4), South Africa (2)

Last place: Scotland (10), Netherlands (2)

Aggregate Runscorer: Ross Taylor (4), AB De Villiers( 2)

Highest Innings: Gayle (3), Brendon McCullum (2)

Fastest 50: Albie Morkel (2) Warner (2) Sehwag (2)

Most Wickets: Malinga (4), Vettori (2)

Most Economical Bowler
: Vettori (5), Malinga (2) Mendis (2)

Best Match Bowling Figures: Vettori (2) Umar Gul (2) Mendis (2)

Most Runouts: AB De Villiers (5)

Most Spectacular Catch: Paul Collingwood (5), AB De Villiers (3)

Best Young Player: Suresh Raina (6), Rohit Sharma (2)

Best Older Player: Sanath Jayasuriya (3) Kallis (3), Ponting (2)

Best Player: Ross Taylor (5), JP Duminy (2)

Biggest Flop: Yuvraj (2) Kevin Peterson (2)

When the tournament is over I'll count up who got the most correct categories and they can win a prize (I was thinking maybe a warm applause).

I haven't decided how to judge the subjective categories (specky catch, old player, young player, flop) maybe an independant judge would like to volounteer?

cheers
