Am happy with that after such a horrible start. Could have been worse if a couple of players hadn't gotten out, mind.

Even if West Indies had been grouped with Netherlands and Bangladesh they would not make the super eights.

Hope Aust win easily. WI don't deserve to win, it'll just cover up this ****.
Yes just horrible, horrible fielding. Probably the worst 1.5 hours of fielding I have ever witnessed from an international line-up.

Such a basic skill. One of the few abilities that you can fine-tune. Not everyone has to be a Gibbs, Rhodes or Ponting. Catching simple catches, putting your body behind the ball, attacking the ball in the field; these skills don't require supreme athletes.

It's not over yet, tbh. Aus probably in front by a nose, but if Gayle gets firing it could be an easy win.
Yeah they could still win it. But after watching Netherlands play so well it is depressing watching these guys trying to play cricket.

Lot of the guys out there are pretty athletic.

tbf, they caught just about all the realistic chances - the ones that Shiv and Marshall missed were tough chances - they certainly should have stopped the boundaries, but it wasn't THAT disgraceful not to catch them (not great either, but not as embarrassing as the other stuff that was going on)

Went from 157 to 168 in one legal delivery.

As others have said, Australia should probably win now, but they should be around 150 or so at most, even accounting for some pretty decent batting in the second half of the innings. Terrible stuff from the West Indies.

Indeed.

As I said in the other thread, it's only 20 overs. The seventh batsman only averages something like 12 runs per innings in T20Is so far.. but the fifth bowler is just as important as the first bowler. Hopes is vastly over-rated as a Twenty20 player in general, Watson will be undedone as far as bowling goes, and I've officially made the leap into taking Twenty20 cricket seriously enough to start commenting on selection regularly. :(
Really very convincing when you put it like that, you know.
