Group A - India, Bangladesh, Ireland

The game showed the importance of Yuvi's innings .... and the trouble Gambhir and Dhoni's batting had put India in to. I hope that lessons are learned

Will be interesting to see who they will drop once Sehwag is fit and at what position will he play

PS

Grp A ----> Ind will go through .... wouldn't rule out Ireland upsetting BD

Grp B ----> Still wide open with NL, Pak and Eng all in with a chance .... If Pak beats Eng then it goes through, along with NL

Grp C ----> WI is likely to go through unless some weird NRR complications happens in case of a 3 way tie on points. so mainly it's b/w SL and OZ for the other spot. Again If SL beats Aus then Sl goes through, along with WI

Grp D ----> should be NZ and SA

Bowling still doesn't look that great... Irfan Pathan is pretty usless unless the ball's swinging... would have RP Singh or Parveen kumar ahead of him.
Definately need to change the batting order... can't have Dhoni and Gambhir batting at same time..... Dhoni has turned into accumalator now; but can hit at the end of the innings so should come in at 5 or 6. Can't wait for Sehwag to come back though..... Yusuf Pathan will sit out i guess.

Good win by india....... Great hitting by Yuvraj and good bowling by Ohja.... had couple of wickets gifted but bowled very well.

Because if it doesn't swing Irfan's pure fodder, whereas Ishant's useful with the ball in any state.

Hmm, performed in the most important T20 game of all time with the old ball, bowling his cutters with the field spread.

Sure he can swing the new pill, but I'd rather Ishant bowling an attacking line with the new pill, and getting batsman on the back foot.

Either way, RP Singh is the better new ball option.

Out of Zaheer, RP, Ishant, Irfan and Praveen Kumar, I'd like RP and Ishant opening.

I think he's proven what he can do in this format, at least for now. He deserves a go. Irfan's obviously in for his batting as a second bow, so that's a factor to take into account.

I'd take out Yusuf Pathan and put in RP Singh.

Put Raina at 3 (it's pure ego Dhoni going in at 3 when he should be @ 5 at the highest), Yuvraj @ 4.

Ojha's stats flatter him a bit. He bowled decent but wasn't great. The 2 Bengali spinners bowled everybit as good but the batsmen were obviously better.

Yuvraj amazes me. Everytime I think I've got him figured out he proves me wrong..... then right...... then wrong..... then right in the same friggin match!

I'm definitely in the "pick more specialist bowlers in Twenty20" camp.. but Irfan at 6 and Harbhajan at 7 is a step too far IMO. Yusuf is a lot better at the sixth-batsman+sixth-bowler role than Irfan is IMO.

I'd definitely consider dropping Irfan for RP though, particularly if Dhoni is going to bat so conservatively at 3.

The South African pitches were quite bowler friendly though.... RP singh and Sreesanth were getting alot of swing in that world cup.
Eiher way Irfan shouldn't really be bowling in power plays.... no swing around and field up... Pathan's going to get murdered most days. Would like to see RP Singh getting a chance; he's pretty good death bowler.

Awesome win by India today. I've been always impressed by Pragyan Ojha and he bowled exceptionally well today. He seems really switched on and I like the way he goes about his spin bowling. Even though it was Bangladesh, I think we played pretty good cricket today. Looking forward to the rest of the tournament.

Definitely AWTA but not happy with Dhoni coming in at 3. Raina should play there and Dhoni after Yuvraj would be ideal.

A bit nervous about tomorrow, a little adversity can go a long way. England and New Zealand delt with it very well and are better off now. Now it's our turn with Pakistan to follow. Hopefully weather doesn't play Spoil Sport since there conflicting, just need to get the Job done tomorrow

Oh, no probs...Pak can easily beat Holland. It was Dutch's day when they beat English but this'll not happen every time.

Other Thread Buddy, they have to beat the NRR too. Holland got 25 runs to play with

So they can't see Nannes off and if they try to go aggressive I could see him take out there entire Top Order.

This is going to be a huge match, enjoy watching both sides, think Bangladesh will win though by 13 runs.
