Your 20/20 WC Squad?

Why isn't Hughes getting a go in the limited overs stuff? His T20 record seems good enough, seems almost ideal at the top with Warner (who I'm still not totally convinced with), much better than Clarke anyway who's absolute balls at the top. Hodge and Hughes opening anyone? Anyone know why so many Aussies have surnames beginning with H?

Its because the kid's only 20 and playing 3 forms would be overkill. He will soon, but for now he is quite rightly being eased into the whole international superstar cricketer caper.

Still better than the Bangalore Royal Challengers.:p
You said it :)

But I think we have a better management team here. Gavaskar with his 36 not out cameo in the world cup, Chetan Sharma with his brilliant strategy on how to bowl that vital last delivery of the innings. Chandra on how to make best use of just one hand and still look 'good' and of course our great 'deal makers' :)

I see what you're trying there, but still wouldn't have Nehra in. One of the IPL games me and my friends were at, Nehra was in the playing XI for the MI against RR. One of my friends was cursing the fact that MI had signed up the useless Nehra, and how he was being forced to pay to watch him bowl. We could only laugh at his frustration as Nehra was named Man of the match at the end

We should try and persuade Tresco to end his international retirement for this tournament only.

Yeah, that was the basis of my thinking. The best LO opener in England, it's for what - two weeks? Can't see there would be too much of a problem. Doubt it would happen but if he expressed an interest his hand should be bitten off IMO

I can't recall many 20/20 games with Bangladesh involved. But it strikes me as one form of the game where Ashraful could actually be half decent. With his rash shots and all.

I've tied myself in a bit of a knot here- sorry to "kill the craic", but weren't you purposefully picking players poor at T20?
Perhaps Mishra is the secret weapon of Aza and Salim to "drive up the price", before he's replaced in the XI at the last minute with an unexpected tight hammy

Are England seriously that bad at the moment, that Tresco could improve them?

I'm putting me boots on headed to the tote now for some Ashes action.
Aren't you currently opening with a number 5 and a wicket keeper? India aside, what one-day team couldn't Tresco improve?
