Zambrotta out of first game, fitness test for Nesta

From the Guardian:

http://football.guardian.co.uk/world...791922,00.html

Big miss (or misses). Perhaps the plucky Ghanaians ( © every lazy hack for the next fortnight) can spring a shock yet.

Gennaro Gattuso is also missing the Ghana game and it looks like he will miss the second game also.

Better to have these injuries now then later in the tournament.

If Zambrotta doesn't get fit soon, Daniele *****a might get his chance to impress any possible suitors for next season.

I'm sorry to all the Americans...but America are going to have to come back from 2 down in the last 5 minutes to beat that Australian performance

I'm sorry too, but I hope they lose 10-0.

I've never forgiven them for allowing John Harkes to be born.

As might be obvious from my opening post in the "whose failure are you supporting" thread, I'm hoping for a 10-0 Czech win too.

Nedved and Cech - stars.

I'm hoping for a big Czech win as well, though I wouldn't mind the US doing well in the tournament if only to see if they follow South Korea's lead and name a stadium after the coach.

Btw, goal.

No. And from early indications, it may well be 10-0 the right way.
