Randy comes from a poverty stricken village on the outskirts of Braunschweig in Germany. He grew up eating only what he could catch and drinking rain water. Although not the smartest player on the tour he works hard on his game and his on court smell can scare off opponents. He has a massive forehand and a big serve, relishes big matches particularly Davis Cup on the red clay in Berlin. Usually doesn't bother turning up to grass court events, only plays Wimbledon to get a feed. Once threw a deat rat at the chair umpire after a first round loss at the Adelaide International.
