Sussex have defeated Hampshire by 163 runs today in a Super Cup match.

Sussex batting first opening well with Montgomerie (46) and Adams (107). Then Sussex fell apart with only Cottey (10) and Yardy (51) scoring double figures. Hamblin was the pick of the bowlers with 3-57 while Black took 2 catches in the slips cordon.

Hampshire went even worse than Sussex! Black was out from the first ball of the innings while his parter Shah made only one more. Francis (10) and the promoted Kenway (8) didn't last long while the captain Prittipaul made only 2. Benham tried to hold the team together while Brunnschweiler (5) and Hamblin (9) fell around him. Benham then fell to a shocking ball for 14 and Tomlinson was caught for 4. Schofield and Tremlett put together 10 runs before Schofield was out for 17 (The highest score in the innings). Tremlett remained not out on 6 as Hampshire was all out for 79.
Ouch! That sounds much like my Super Cup season (4 points with Yorkshire)

Things got better after a while though
