I agree that Clark outperformed Ponting as a player.

As for Ponting's captaincy giving him the edge, I think if this Series (and comparing it to 2005) proved anything it was that a bowling attack does maketh or breaketh a Captain.

Compare England's bowling in this Series to 2005, and Clark's to Gillespie's; and McGath's availability etc.
