Fleming the latest star targeted

New Zealand Test captain Stephen Fleming has been the latest star to be approached by the renegade Indian Cricket League.

Fleming, currently playing county cricket, recently retired from one-day cricket but still leads the Black Caps Test side.

The offer made by the Indian breakaway league, rumoured to be a three year deal of over $500,000 according to The Australian, will mean an end to the Kiwi’s international career, if accepted.

Meanwhile, Indian legend Kapil Dev has confirmed that Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath have signed on to play for the ICL.

“They have signed contracts so that to me means that they have taken the deal,” Dev announced.

“A few more young boys from Australia will be signed up. I can’t give you their names, because contracts are still being negotiated. Maybe they won’t be superstars like Warne and McGrath, but they will still be stars.”
