Cronje Plane Sabotaged?

An inquest by the South Africa high court has be opened into the 2002 plane crash, which killed Hansie Cronje and the two pilots.

Originally the accident was blamed on a combination of bad weather, human error and faulty equipment.

A post accident inspection discovered that two wires attached to the compass had been severed, which suggests the possibility of foul play.

Cronje supporters had been lobbying hard for the disgraced former South African captain to be brought back into the cricketing fraternity and this seemed likely to happen just before the plane crash.
