Brett Lee to play Pura Cup Final

Brett Lee could be set to fly home to play for New South Wales in the Pura Cup final if not selected in the second test against NZ starting this Friday at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.

The Australian coach, John Buchanan is considering that in the event of Brett Lee or Michael Kasprowicz not being selected in the starting eleven that they be given permission to play in the Pura Cup Final between New South Wales and Queenlsand.

Buchanan has said however that if either player was allowed to play that they wouldn’t be released until Friday which would mean they would miss the majority of the first day of play due to lack of available connecting flights from Wellington to Brisbane.
