Bracewell yet to decide future

New Zealand coach John Bracewell will wait until the analysis and review of his side’s World Cup performance in complete before assessing his own future.

The coach who led his side to the final four of the competition, only to be eliminated by Sri Lanka is still not certain whether he will stay on at the helm of the New Zealand cricket team.

“Once we’ve gone through the review process I’ll make that decision or that decision will be made for me,” he said.

“I’m a professional coach. Lots of jobs have become available.”

Former one-day captain Stephen Fleming has thrown his weight behind his coach saying Bracewell should stay on in his current position.

“I think Braces should stay on, I think he’s a fine coach, he’s worked well with this side,” Fleming told a New Zealand newspaper.
