Ball-tampering proof?

Minor English newspaper Metro has today published a photo which appears to show a Pakistan player tampering with the ball during the afternoon session of yesterday’s forfeited fourth Test.

The picture shows a close-up of an unknown Pakistan bowler with his right middle finger along the seam of the ball, which is being held in the right hand. The player appears to be using his left hand to pick at the edge of the ball’s seam.

If this photo is genuine, and if it is deemed that Pakistan were, in fact, guilty of ball-tampering before their walk-off, then the entire affair will be turned on its head. The cricketing world waits with baited breath.

Cricket Web will bring you further news as we receive it.
