Australians held up by rain

Heavy and persistent rain at Worcestershire all but washed out the first day of the tour match between Worcestershire and Australia, with just a solitary over being bowled.

In the only over of play that was completed before the heavens open saw Australia move to 4 without loss as Justin Langer struck a boundary of Kabir Ali’s first ball.

The Australians will be hoping for better weather in the morning to gain some last minute match practice before the second Test
