Yes – Albert Moss took ten for 28 on debut for Canterbury vs Wellington in 1889. His story is a very interesting one – he only played in four First Class matches and, due to his alcoholism, his wife left him, taking with him the inscribed cricket ball presented to him after his first match. He sought solace in the Salvation Army and it was while working with them, helping alcoholics in South Africa 50 years later, that his ex-wife, having heard of his good works, tracked him down. She returned his prized cricket ball and, eventually, remarried him.

Not so. That match lasted 10.1 overs and nearly an hour. The match between the same teams at the Viv Richards ground in February 2009 lasted just 10 balls.

Thanks Tapioca. The Bradman question should have read ‘by an Indian WK’. and I completely forgot about the 2009 10-ball Test!
