Indian selectors have named strong squads to face New Zealand in two lead-up matches before the Test series.
Back in the selection frame is former Test gloveman Deep Dasgupta, unceremoniously dumped by selectors following England's tour of India in 2001.
Sadagopan Ramesh also emerges from the wilderness, as do Connor Williams and Tinu Yohannan.
Surprisingly, Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman have been included in a warm-up match, suggesting they are not certain of their Test places.
