Martyn for Yorkshire

Damien Martyn has signed for Yorkshire to play the rest of the county season. Martyn replaces overseas players Yuvraj Singh and Stephen Fleming who will be on international duty during New Zealand's tour of India.
While Martyn has had a few injury problems this year, he has overall had a fantastic season of cricket. In the World Cup final, Martyn batted superbly in support of his captain Ponting. His innings helped Australia win the Cup comprehensively. To this point in his Test career, Martyn has exactly 2000 runs.
