SAF record easy first up win

South Africa have recorded an easy victory in their warm up game against Northern Districts winning the match by six wickets.

Northern batted first and struggled throughout their innings losing wickets at regular intervals and finished up with a disappointing score of 114 all out from 42.3 overs.

Peterson was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-19 while Klusener, Boje and Morkel took two wickets each. Robinson scored 35 not out to top the Northern batting lineup.

South Africa in reply cruised to an easy victory despite Ian Butler taking 3 wickets for 12 runs in the middle of the innings. Dippenaar who opened the batting was the top scorer with 45 while Ian Butler took 3-49 from 7 overs and Daryl Tuffey 1-20 from 5 overs.

South Africa now move to Auckland to prepare for the first ODI against New Zealand this coming Friday.
