Crucial encounter postponed

Saturday, February 28 2004

The fifth one-day international between New Zealand and South Africa in Auckland, has been postponed to the reserve day (Sunday), after no play was possible today, due to constant rain and tropical cyclone, which had been predicted to hit North Island.

If the rescheduled match is unable to go ahead, which is a possibility because of persistent bad weather, the Black Caps will earn their first ever series win over the Proteas, for they lead the six-match series 3-1.
