Sachin has now scored 1789 test runs against Australia, he has overtaken Allan Border as the leading run scorer in Australia v India test matches.

VVS Laxman

This was Laxman's 50th test appearance.

Laxman's 178 was his 7th test century, his 4th against Australia.

After his partnership with Sachin Tendulkar, Laxman is now one of only 3 players in test history to share in 3 partnerships of 300+.
Don Bradman & Javed Miandad are the only others.
