Otago v Canterbury at Alexandr
Otago took this match out by 16 runs with former All Black Jeff Wilson scored an entertaining 86 off 63 balls with eight four's and three sixes as Otago made 292-6 off 50 overs.

Canterbury opener Michael Papps making 132 off 137 balls as he put pressure on New Zealand selectors. Papps and Shannan Stewart put on 151 for the first wicket before Simon Beare made the breakthrough. canterbury lost regular wickets as they finshed up 16 runs short.

With the form of Tim McIntosh in the State Championship, the selectors will find it tough to leave either out of the New Zealand team.
