Derbyshire sign Aussie Moss

Sunday, March 21 2004

English county Derbyshire have signed Victorian all-rounder Jonathan Moss as their second overseas player for the forthcoming 2004 season.

The county turned their attention to Moss, after first-choice Tasmanian seamer Damien Wright pulled out with a knee injury.

Moss, who has been playing for Victoria for four years, averages 46.87 with the bat, and has scalped 46 wickets in 28 appearances.

Moss will join up with the county squad in early May, following his wedding in April.
