Womens training squad named

The Australian Womens cricket selectors have named the winter training squad for this season. It has just one new face in it.

Left handed opening bat and left arm orthodox spinner Shelley Nitschke from South Australia is the new player.
They have also recalled Queenslander Megan White for the first time since 1998-99.

The squad is:
Alex Blackwell (NSW), Kris Britt (SA), Louise Broadfoot (Vic), Trish Brown (Qld), Melissa Bulow (Qld), Belinda Clark (Vic), Leonie Coleman (NSW), Cathryn Fitzpatrick (Vic), Michelle Goszko (NSW), Julie Hayes (NSW), Melanie Jones (Vic), Shelley Nitschke (SA), Julia Price (Qld), Karen Rolton (SA), Clea Smith (Vic), Lisa Sthalekar (NSW), Emma Twining (NSW), Megan White (Qld).

The targeted youth training program contains 5 players who they are helping make the step from under 23 level to international level.

The five players of the targeted youth program are:
Lauren Ebsary (SA), Belinda Matheson (Qld), Kirsten Pike (Qld), Leah Poulton (NSW), Emma Sampson (SA).

Also named was the Shooting stars which is a Youth team:(One step down from the targeted team)
