New Indian selectors named

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the new selection panel, which comprises of Kiran More and Pranab Roy, the only surviving members of the previous committee and interestingly the two selectors who alleged Abhijeet Kale to have approached them with a bribe, joined by VB Chandrasekhar from the South Zone, Yashpal Sharma from the North Zone and Gopal Sharma from the Central Zone.

More has been named the chairman of selectors, ahead of the senior most member on the new panel - Yashpal Sharma.

The new committee's first assignment will be the selection of the Indian team for the first Test against the visitors Australia to be played at Bangalore from October 6, which they will announce tomorrow (Friday).
