Monday, November 1 2004

Indian captain Sourav Ganguly will miss the fourth and final Test of the ongoing home Test series against Australia at Mumbai, after failing to recover from a groin injury.

Ganguly suffered the injury while fielding during the first Test, but it deteriorated gradually, which meant he missed the decisive thrid Test at Nagpur, which India lost by 342 runs.

In Ganguly's absence, Rahul Dravid will once again lead the Indian side. The squad has four new faces in Gautam Gambhir, Dheeraj Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik and SS Paul.
