James Franklin Secures NZ Contract

James Franklin has secured a New Zealand Cricket Contract following the retirement of Mark Richardson last month.

Franklin has gone in at No 20 in the ranking list and receives an annual wage of NZ$45,000 plus match payments for any games he plays.

Due to Mark Richardson being ranked sixth all players have moved up one place in the rankings meaning they pick up an extra $5,000. Stephen Fleming is ranked 1st and earns NZ$125,000.

This summer alone James Franklin has had superb domestic figures of 20 wickets in three State Championship matches at an average of 13.75 while contributing 79 runs at an average of 43.50 with the bat.
