Enamul Haque Jr. recalled

Monday, January 3 2005

Enamul Haque Jr., 18, has been recalled to the Bangladesh Test team for the first Test at Chittagong, which begins on Thursday 6th of January. Haque debuted in October of 2003 against England and has played a total of 3 Test matches.

In his Test career to date he has taken just 6 wickets at 57.16 each and a best of 2/53. His First Class record is somewhat better though, with 44 wickets at 30.52 with 5/24 his best.

Nazmul Hossain and Mushfiqur Rahman have been omitted from the squad of 13. The Test match will be Zimbabwe's first since May of 2004, when they were thrashed by Sri Lanka. Since, a mutual agreement kept them out of Test cricket and now they return to take guard in Bangladesh. The home side has never won a Test match, but did recently get a rare One Day International victory over India, so hopes will be boosted ahead of the series.

Bangladesh XIII:
