Sohail Tanvir replaces Akhtar

Rawalpindi allrounder Sohail Tanvir has been named as the replacement for Shoaib Akhtar after Akhtar was sent home for his bust-up with team-mate Mohammad Asif.

Tanvir who is a left-arm medium fast bowler has played 10 domestic Twenty20 matches for Rawalpindi scoring 84 runs at an average of 16.80 while conceding 226 runs with an economy rate of 9.82 for 0 wickets.

Tanvir is said to have impressed Aaqib Javed who is the coach at the National Cricket Academy and was close to selection within the original squad.
