South Africa have called up fast bowler Andre Nel to replace the injured Loots Bosman in the Twenty20 World Cup squad.

Selection convenor Joubert Strydom said Nel had been called up instead of a batsman due to concerns the selectors had about the bowling side of South Africa's game following their tour of Zimbabwe.

Bosman injured himself during the tour of Zimbabwe where he collided with an advertising board on the boundary rope when attempting to make a catch.
