Sri Lanka's Twenty20 World Cup campaign has today received a massive blow with the news that Muttiah Muralitharan will not take any part in the inaugural tournament.

Muralitharan suffered an elbow injury whilst playing for English county side Lancashire and has since been ruled out of the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa next month and is expected to be out of action for up to four to six weeks, according to Sri Lankan officials.
